AP Language

I graduated from AHS in 1996; GO AGGIES!! I earned a BA in Mass Communications with emphasis in Marketing and Public Relations from JSU in 2000. Though I enjoyed my work in this field, I quickly decided my heart was in the classroom and returned to JSU to earn my MA in Secondary English Language Arts in 2003.

I began my career in education at Arab High School (2001-2004). After spending a year home following the birth of my first daughter, I returned to the classroom in Guntersville. From 2005-2008 I taught at both Guntersville Middle and High Schools in grades 6-9. In 2008 I finally made it back home to Albertville where I have taught drama, English 9, English 11, and Honors English 11. I currently teach AP English Language & Composition and, as of this year, Pre-AP English 10. My students are truly the greatest aspect of what I do; I could not be more blessed!

I live in Albertville with my husband Matt, our two girls, Jensyn and Baxley, and our two wild boys (dogs we treat as other children) Aubie and Bama. I enjoy writing, reading, hiking, traveling, spending time with family and friends (most often outdoors), watching Auburn football, and attempting crafty projects around my home. I am a member of Albertville First United Methodist Church.
