I graduated in 1993 from Samford University with my Associate Degree in Nursing, 2005 from University of South ALabama with my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, and later returned to finish my Master's Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 2012. I also completed courses to fulfill the requirements for my teacher's certification from Athens State University in 2011.


I have been a Registered Nurse for 23 years. I had the opportunity of working at Marshall Medical Center South in areas such as: Emergency Room, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Recovery Room, Acute Care Nurse Manager and Operating Room. I have also work PRN at Marshall County Home Health, Hospice of Marshall County, and Medical Center East. I started my teaching career in 2008 at Marshall Technical School.  In 2011, I left MTS to open the Health Science program at Guntersville High School. I taught at GHS for 5 years before coming to Albertville HIgh School. I currently teach the Medical Assisting class at Snead State Communty College as well as serve as a clinical adjunct instructor for the CNA program.


I have been married to my husband Blake for 26 years. We have three boys who attend Albertville City Schools, Evan-12th, Matthew-10th, and Griffin-5th. We attend Solitude Baptist Church. I enjoy watching my boys play sports, traveling, and cooking.
